Der Schirmerhof ist ein traditioneller Familienbetrieb, der mittlerweile in der fünften Generation geführt wird. Die komplette Großfamilie steht hinter dem landwirtschaftlichen Betrieb, dem Ackerbau und natürlich den Tieren. Jung und Alt leben und arbeiten zusammen und so trifft langjährige landwirtschaftliche Erfahrung auf neue Ideen und Ansätze. Diese Kombination macht es möglich, Traditionen weiterzuführen und dennoch den Betrieb zukunftsfähig auszurichten.
Nachhaltige Prozesse sind hier von großer Bedeutung. Sämtliche Abläufe vom Ackerbau, über die Tierhaltung bis hin zur Vermarktung werden auf dem Schirmerhof selbst durchgeführt. Nur so kann absolute Transparenz und Kontrolle gewährleistet werden.
